The subject of shaving is an important one, especially for men. Some prefer the wet shave, while others find a dry shave more comfortable. Regardless of what you decide, with the best Braun shavers, both variants are possible in one shaving device. When it comes to choosing the right device, many features need to be considered. The device must be able to shave without having to slide over the skin several times, causing razor burns. Among other features, the shaving elements, running time, charge time, weight, dimensions, and warranty are important criteria to watch out for in the best Braun shaver.
In the best Braun shaver review, we will take a look at the 12 best rated Braun shaver and provide you further information on how to get the best shaver from Braun in the buying guide. Braun shavers are the first choice for many men when it comes to annoying facial hair removal. In addition to the often unusual design, the Braun electric razors stand out with a particularly gentle shave than with other blade-based systems.
The Braun Series ProSkin is available in a whopping 11 versions that hardly differ from each other. Among these is the Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s – our best Braun electric shaver. The ProSkin range offers a good combination of price and performance. The most important feature is the 32S/32B shaving head, which is equipped with MicroComb technology.
Our recommendation from the range is the Braun Series 3 3040s. The reason is that it can be used in both wet and dry conditions. It looks very dynamic thanks to the light blue side elements.
The battery is a long-lasting one with an operating time of 45 minutes and a charging time of 60 minutes. You also have the option of a 5-minute quick charge. Especially with the ProSkin series, you also benefit from a precision trimmer, which is located on the back.
The customer experiences with this razor are mixed. Some are satisfied with the device due to the moderate price, others complain about deficits such as a too loud noise during shaving or occasional skin irritation after use.
In terms of color, this razor does not differ from the WaterFlex WF2s. Here, blue is the predominant color. The package includes a protective cap, a cleaning brush, and a power supply unit.
What we liked: The 3040s can be used for both dry and wet shaving. Since it is waterproof, it also works in the shower, whether with foam or gel. The shaving head can be washed under running water after use without having to disassemble any parts. It’s without a doubt our best Braun foil shaver.
What could be better: One little downside of the Braun Series 3 3040s is that the razor can hardly cope with thick beards. However, for less thick beards or with a moderately grown beard, it does a good job.
As usual with Braun, the design of the 9370cc from the Series 9 is elegant and has a stainless steel look. There is a display that shows the remaining battery life. You can shave for 60 minutes on one charge, which is above average.
Compared to the previous series, 10D technology is now used here. This means that the razor adapts particularly well to the contours. The trimmer is now made of a titanium alloy and is therefore particularly corrosion-resistant and durable. The Braun razor can also be used under water because it is 100% waterproof.
Not only can you shave easily in the shower, but you can also simply rinse the razor under running water. Speaking of cleaning: the package includes a programmable charging and cleaning station that works on an alcohol basis and removes germs and bacteria from the razor.
The shave is thorough, the shaving head glides gently over the contours of the face perfectly. There are up to 40,000 cutting action per minute and the well-known SyncroSonic technology is also on board. The best Braun electric shaver for men works more gently in areas with less growth – this benefits sensitive skin.
What we liked: With the shaver, all whiskers are removed with a single pull without irritating the skin of the face. With the hinged precision trimmer, which is located on the back of the device, the electric shaver is also versatile and can also be used to trim a beard. It’s the best Braun men’s shaver.
What could be better: Yes, the shaver is a premium model with several technologies incorporated. But the price is still very high.
The PocketGo M60b rechargeable shaver from Braun is the best friend of globetrotters, those who like to travel on weekends, or businessmen! Compact, it works with batteries so you can easily take it wherever you want for a clean shave.
The Braun mobile shaver M60 B is smart with its high-performance elements that ensure a close shave. It has the MobileShave heads which are movable in 2 directions to follow the contours of the face. Its SmartFoil is ultra-fine and allows you to shave hairs growing in different directions.
Either for normal or short hairs, this BRAUN razor can handle everything to ensure perfect daily maintenance of your skin, whichever your style is. It is also equipped with a retractable trimmer that allows you to manage your mustache or paws.
The PocketGo M60b rechargeable shaver works with 2 AA batteries. What’s more? It’s compact and fits easily in your suitcase or a simple backpack.
What we liked: Waterproof, this BRAUN razor is easy to wash. You can run it under water to clean the shaving heads and the foil. This also helps it to remove hairs and maintain maximum hygiene, use after use.
What could be better: Replacement parts need to be accessible to users. Also, it’s ineffective on long or too hard beards.
The 310 model from the 3 Series is a kit that allows you to do three things: shave, trim, and contour. For this purpose, the S3 razor comes with five comb attachments with which you can trim your beard to 1 to 7 millimeters. The shaving head is interchangeable and the included interchangeable head enables shape shaving.
Unlike the 3090 or 3030, the 310 can also be used as a wet razor.
Otherwise, the 310 is the same as all other Braun 3 series devices. The shaving head itself is not movable, but the shaving elements adapt to the contours of the face. And it can be easily cleaned under running water without having to remove anything from the device.
With its Wet & Dry technology, the Braun Series 3310s electric shaver features the triple action shaving system. The device is effective both for shaving long hairs and short hairs. It’s a ruthless beard device, yet gentle on the skin.
With its 3 pressure-sensitive shaving elements, the device perfectly follows the contours of your face and shaves in a straight line intuitively. Also, it features a patented metal mesh protection (SensoFoil) for an exceptionally close shave, which protects your skin from ultra-sharp blades.
What we liked: We like the smart design of the device. All the shaving power of this device lies in its ultra-thin head. This is very useful for getting it to hard-to-reach areas (under the chin and nose). The device is also 100% waterproof, allows you to shave wet and/or dry skin with two long-lasting batteries.
What could be better: To offer effective shaves, you need to use it frequently. It could also be made more effective for hard beards.
Here’s the Braun 5018s Series 5, a device from the supermarket giant Procter & Gamble. This foil shaver features beautiful mechanics and neat curves.
Inside, a rechargeable battery gives it a runtime power of 50 minutes. If you run out of power, you can use the shaver by plugging it directly into the mains.
The Series 5 can be used underwater for easy and quick cleaning, but it’s not as efficient as with the optional cleaning station. To clean it, there is no need to remove the shaver head.
Even though the manufacturer recommends regular lubrication, it does not include the oil necessary for the smooth operation either.
The shaver is not as fast as a Panasonic 5-Blade. However, there’s one thing you would like with this shaver. Its noise which the foil shavers are known for is less powerful than that of the 5-Blade. However, the vibration level is still high. It’s a real vibrator that may almost jolt your hand. Panasonic does much better than Braun on this point.
What we liked: You can plunge or put it under running water for easy and quick cleaning, but it’s not as efficient as with the optional cleaning station. To clean it, there is no need to remove the shaver head.
What could be better: As always with the foil razor, the steepest areas are not always clearly cut (neck area). Apart from these few stubborn hairs, the shaving result is great, but without ever shaving as closely as a mechanical razor.
Like most modern epilators, the Braun Silk-épil 9 9/890 is a wet & dry device. So, it can be used dry but also in the shower or the bathtub. On the one hand, this makes cleaning easier, but on the other hand, it also ensures less painful shaves.
We also like the Smartlight behind the epilation head, which should make any remaining hairs more visible. The so-called SensoSmart technology is completely new to the current top models from Braun. However, this is a pressure control that notifies of excessive pressure with a small warning light.
The Silk-épil 9 9/890 includes numerous additional functions and accessories. In addition to the epilator itself, the pack contains a
facial cap, a skin contact cap, a trimmer cap, a shaver head, body, and face trimmer.
All devices in the Silk-épil 9 series, on the other hand, come with a 100-day guarantee. During this period, epilators purchased from Amazon can be returned without any problems if you do not like them.
its controls work perfectly and the battery also leaves a first-class impression. The new SensoSmart pressure control is likely to be appreciated primarily by epilation beginners. Pay attention to the warning light, it can be really helpful for inexperienced users.
Just like the identical 9/990, the 9/890 is pleasantly quiet in operation, works very well and the pain is also kept within limits. Especially with wet and regular epilation, the process is almost painless. In the beginning, depending on the skin type, slight reddening may appear, but this usually disappears after 30-60 minutes.
What we liked: The epilator has a very chic design and excellent workmanship. It’s well accessorized. The item also includes a small cleaning brush, a simple storage bag, and the appropriate charging cable.
What could be better: The only downside is the rather cheap-looking bag, which is actually just a cloth bag. For its price, you can expect a little more.
Braun’s 7 Series line of electric shavers is ubiquitous in the electric shaver community. Getting access to Procter & Gamble’s massive marketing budget helped make the 7 Series a bestseller in the Braun product lines. The 7865cc was introduced in 2016 and today, it still remains one of the best by the German brand.
The Braun travel shaver is supplied with three individual cutting elements: two finishing blades and a center trimmer. It is a common setting that Braun uses in many of its razors, except for the Series 9 which has 4 blades.
The two outer blades will cut close hairs from the skin, while the specialized center trimmer will capture long, flat hairs growing in different directions. The device features SyncroSonic™ technology. It is a patented technology and a term that Braun uses to describe the foil vibrations.
In addition to the oscillation of the inner blades, the 7 Series motor also produces micro-vibrations, causing the blades to vibrate. This is supposed to help bring the cutting elements more hair. Older Series 7 razors had a dim, awkwardly positioned LCD screen that was difficult to read in low light but this has been corrected in this model.
Like all cc models, the 7 Series 7865cc comes with an automatic cleaning and charging station that does just what the name suggests.
What we liked: As part of the revamped 7 Series, the 7865cc comes with five settings. Therefore, you can alter the engine speed from Turbo Sensitive mode. For example, you can use the lowest (sensitive) speed setting when shaving areas prone to irritation like the neck.
What could be better: The trimmer is poorly designed. The trimmer head interferes with visualization.
The new Braun 7 Series 7027cs 360 razor promises to leave your scalp skin looking as smooth as you want. It is a medium/high-end device dedicated to a fairly demanding clientele.
Thanks to the stainless steel look, the object is beautiful and this is indisputable. From the outset, the shiny appearance of the shaving head stands out with its foils with chrome edges and is a little flashy.
Housing three blades, it rotates 360°. We like the 360° Flex System. This grid comes apart, leaving room for EasyClick. Behind this name hides a small precision trimmer to plug on the base and treat the contours of the mustache, legs, and contours of the neck.
The EasyClick blade is 3 cm wide, a standard size in the world of men’s shaving. Also, on the front, there’s the presence of a display that indicates the level of its remaining battery.
The device comes with a charging and cleaning station. Named SmartCare, the accessory accommodates the razor which, placed upside down, can be recharged. It can also also be cleaned and disinfected using a Clean & Renew cartridge. Replacements are easy to find on the web in sets of four or five cartridges.
What we liked: We like the 360° Flex System head, which is quite nimble. The razor weaves its way through even the most difficult to access areas. Pleasant in the hand, the device is suitable for small coarse hairs but goes out of its comfort zone as soon as it ventures on slightly thicker beards (one week).
What could be better: The manual doesn’t help at all. It’s unclear and incomplete.
The CoolTec series are also some of the best in Braun’s line. The CoolTec function is an integrated cooling element, which makes shaving gentler on the skin. What sets the CoolTec apart is the additionally integrated cooling element, which is supposed to help reduce skin irritation and manage the sensitivity. On top of that, it should also feel pretty comfortable. You can set this function manually at the push of a button. If you use this, however, you have to do without the shaving foam.
As usual, the shaving head has three-stage shaving elements. The Braun Series 3 product has the SensoBlade. The battery runs for around 45 minutes with a charging time of 60 minutes.
Every model of the CoolTec is waterproof and includes a precision trimmer.
What we liked: The cooling element of the Braun CoolTec shaver is very useful in preventing irritation. The SensoBlade captures hairs growing in different directions.
What could be better: The precision trimmer could be more effective. The shaver could also be less expensive.
You can have soft skin for weeks on end with efficient and complete epilation of all areas of your body. The technologies used by BRAUN give this epilator all the performance it needs, combined with ease of use. Thanks to its gentle epilation mode, the Braun wet dry shaver is painless to use, especially in water, in the shower, or the bath. The moment of waxing is now a moment of relaxation, in the bath or the shower, with ease.
Perfect for beginner women who are new to electric hair removal, this will convince the most reluctant. Its non-slip grip is suitable for showering and using soap.
Smooth skin for several weeks, that’s what the BRAUN Silk Epil 5-810 offers you because it makes hair removal from the root. The use of shower gel or shaving foam on the area to be depilated allows a better glide and a relaxation of the skin resulting in better efficiency of the epilator.
You can epilate your lines and curves in style, thanks to the bikini styler included with the Silk Epil 5-810 epilator.
Thanks to its many accessories, the Braun women’s shaver does everything it can to offer you the most efficient hair removal possible, while maintaining its softness and practicality.
What we liked: Two settings are available, it’s up to you to choose which one suits you best. One is designed for ultra-gentle hair removal and the second for ultra-efficient hair removal.
What could be better: The battery power could be better. It dies if you don’t use the epilator for a few weeks.
The Braun Silk-Epil 3 3270 epilator guarantees hair loss in just a few minutes. Its handling is rather light and very pleasant. Using it is very simple since this device has only 2 buttons. It is also equipped with two settings to select the speed best suited to your skin type and your skincare habits.
For beginners or people with more sensitive skin, go for speed number 1. For people who have already used this type of device or for those with firmer skin, opt for speed number 2. To offer you very pleasant epilation sessions, the Braun Silk-Epil 3 3270 epilator is equipped with several functions, one of which is its massage function
Thanks to the massage rollers located on the head of the device, this epilator offers you comfortable, pleasant hair removal on any area to be epilated, even if it is the legs or even the armpits. These rollers have the function of stimulating your skin during any depilation to make each gesture much more comfortable.
We also like its 20 tweezer functions. These are what get rid of the hair! They eliminate each hair directly at the root and not only on the surface of the skin. Unlike most epilators of this type, the Braun Silk-Epil 3 3270 provides you with the removal of hairs from their bulbs. You will then have a smooth and soft result.
The Smartlight function assures you that no hairs are forgotten! In other words, thanks to the Smartlight light, the device helps you to light up all your hair removal sessions, so as not to miss any hair.
What we liked: This epilator is equipped with 20 tweezers. It is therefore ideal for body hair, such as the legs, armpits, or the bikini line. It’s the best Braun shaver for sensitive skin.
What could be better: This type of device is not recommended for use on the face. The sensations it provides can become quite unpleasant in certain places, such as the armpits or even the bikini line.
The Braun Series 6 6072cc is a waterproof razor that you can use in the shower. Equipped with a flexible SensoFlex swivel shaving head, it should ensure gentle skin contact even in hard-to-reach areas. The non-slip handle ensures a secure hold even if it got wet. It is suitable for both wet and dry shaving.
Thanks to the automatic voltage adjustment, the Series 6 device is also an excellent companion when traveling, because it adapts to the existing power supply.
The shaving head can be swiveled, it adapts to the contours of your face and rotates by up to 33 degrees in two directions. In this way, the areas of the chin and neck should also be optimally accessible. Skin contact is guaranteed at all points. With the two shaving foils and the middle trimmer, you can even remove a three-day beard without any problems.
The razor is equipped with a retractable trimmer that enables beard contours and sideburns to be shaved precisely. The device is delivered in the main color blue. The on/off switch is in the middle of the device so that it can be easily operated with one hand. The battery indicator is located below the switch.
What we liked: The battery is fully charged after about an hour; you can use it to shave for 50 minutes. If you need it immediately and the battery is empty, five minutes of charging time is enough for a shave.
What could be better: It doesn’t shave well at one pass. While it’s great for face shave, it’s not efficient for neck shave. You need to shave every day to enjoy it better.
5-min quick charge lasts a shave
Battery lasts 3 weeks of shaving
Suitable for sensitive skin
Easy to handle
Doesn't shave at one pass
It appears that you have a thing for Braun models and you would like to buy a shaver from them. The good thing is Braun has numerous model variants in its product range for you. To make the selection a little easier, considering a few purchase criteria in our buying guide can help.
Why choose Braun shavers? Pros and cons of foil shavers
First let us consider the pluses and minuses of the Braun shavers:
There are many reasons to choose Braun shavers. Among these include its:
Thoroughness: The obvious first: all Braun razors run in straight lines, not in a circle as you know it from rotary razors. Straight shaving movements are more intuitive and efficient. This is scientifically confirmed.
AutoSense technology: Braun’s unique AutoSense technology detects the density of your beard and automatically adapts the motor power to it. The razors deliver extra power exactly when it matters. This means that the Series 9, 7, and now 5 razors deliver incredibly powerful performance in just one stroke while shaving exceptionally deeply and comfortably.
Skin comfort: Quite simply: fewer puffs minimize the risk of skin irritation. This is why so many men with sensitive skin choose the thoroughness of Braun razors.
Each slide has a unique pattern of 1064 ergonomically shaped openings that capture each hair at the perfect angle.
This gives you the long-lasting smoothness you want without your skin ever touching the blades.
Gentleness: Braun razors (Series 3 or higher) have pressure-sensitive blades that adapt perfectly to your skin. The premium models (Series 5 or higher) also have a dynamic, flexible razor head that guarantees maximum skin contact on all contours.
Wet and dry shaving experience: Many men prefer to use their electric razors with gel, foam, or water. This ensures a refreshing skin feeling and better gliding. That is why most Braun razors are “Wet & Dry”, recognizable by the symbol on the packaging or the name. This gives you the absolute freedom to shave the way you want.
Perfect ergonomics: The Braun Series razors have been designed so that they fit naturally and intuitively in your hand.
The price: As expected, quality always comes at a cost. Being one of the best brands on the market, Braun shavers are premium models that come at a high cost. However, you can still find models such as the Braun M60B which come at a low price.
No rotary shavers: Braun doesn’t make rotary shavers. Unlike rotary razors that shave in circles, all Braun razors work with straight movements.
Features to consider when choosing a Braun shaver
Below are some features to consider while choosing a Braun shaver.
Which Braun series and product line?
Without making an exhaustive list, these are the most popular series from the brand’s range of shavers.
Braun shaver series 1
The Series 1 devices are regarded as entry-level models in the Braun razor range and are the successors to the Braun Smart Control razor. Accordingly, the package for the Series 1 is quite manageable. In addition to the shaver, a charger, a cleaning brush, and a protective cap for the Braun shaving head are included. The shaving foil consists of one part, has a curved cross-section, and is movably mounted so that it adapts to the contours of the face. Also, the models are IPX7-certified, ie they are waterproof and can therefore be cleaned under running water.
Braun shaver series 3
The Braun Series 3 shavers have a shaving head made up of three elements. Two movable shaving foils enclose a trimmer in the middle, which uses fine grooves. The so-called MicroComb technology helps to trim the hair in a targeted manner before it is cut off in the shaving foil. An LED display informs the user about the charge level of the battery so that no surprises occur. Some models come with a cleaning station. Also, selected models have the Wet & Dry label, so they can also be used in conjunction with shaving foam.
Braun shaver series 5
In the Braun Series 5 models, the shaving head is also made up of three elements, two shaving foils, and a central trimmer. However, the head is still pivoted. Thus, a smoother shave should be achieved in as few strokes as possible. The shaving head of the Braun Series 5 can be locked in five different positions for the user to have optimum comfort. The Series 5 models also have a retractable trimmer. For some models, there is also a cleaning station, a travel case, or the wet-dry shaver function.
Braun shaver series 7
The Braun Series 7 razors also have a swiveling, three-part shaving head. In addition to these familiar features from Series 5, the Braun Series 7 devices of this series have additional functions. The central trimmer is equipped with the so-called ActiveLift technology, which is also intended to capture hair lying flat. Also, the shaving head emits sound waves, which help set up the whiskers. This makes it easier to capture everything in one go. Moreover, the series has a powerful battery and, depending on the model, accessories such as the Braun cleaning station and wet & dry technology, e.g. the Braun Series 7 799cc 7.
Braun shaver series 9
The shaving head has been expanded once again with the devices from the premium Braun Series 9. In addition to the well-known shaving foils and the trimmer in the middle, there is another trimmer that trims the hair before it lands in the shaving foil.
The powerful motor enables up to 40,000 movements per minute, which in combination with the ultrasonic technology should ensure the best shaving result. The Wet & Dry models can be used in the shower. The cleaning station, which is also used for charging, is also standard in Series 9. A replacement cartridge for cleaning is also included.
The devices of the CoolTec series have a built-in cooling unit. This can be switched on when shaving and reduces the heat generated during shaving, which is intended to prevent typical skin irritations such as razor burn. The models are completely waterproof. A cleaning station is included with some models. Cooltec is Braun-exclusive.
The WaterFlex models are completely waterproof and have a rubberized handle. They are seen as the optimal solution for people who prefer to shave in the shower or who want to combine the advantages of wet and dry shaving.
A three-part shaving head ensures that the hair is shortened. A charging cradle or cleaning station is not available for these models.
All Braun men’s razors have:
a retractable trimmer
a charging cable
a cleaning brush.
Models for men and women
Braun has models for both genders. Some men experience skin irritation, redness, and pimples with a traditional shave. For them, a dry shave with a razor is usually a better choice. There are several reasons why men can choose Braun’s safety razors. The shave is faster than with a conventional blade. Also, the skin is not irritated as much. If you shave dry, there are fewer manipulations. A razor is particularly useful if you have sensitive skin.
There are also Braun razors for women. A women’s razor from Braun does exist, but the products for women’s hair removal are mostly epilators. Examples of these include Braun Epilator Silk-épil 5 5-810 and the Braun Epilator Silk-Epil 3 3-270. As you can see, these models are available in white, pink, and other fair “girly” colors.
Shaving elements, pivoting head, and cutting actions per minute
With the shaving head, the number of independently moving elements increases with the serial number – and with it the price. While the entry-level models with only two shaving foils are quite cheap to buy, the more expensive models shave thoroughly in less time. For those in a hurry (e.g. late risers who then have too little time in the bathroom), it is advisable to choose a model in the higher price range. From series 5 onwards, the shaving heads can be locked to ensure optimum comfort for your shave.
Note: Cheap models don’t necessarily have to shave badly. However, there may be times when you may have to go over one area several times to shave all of the hair. This can be uncomfortable for sensitive skin. So, for sensitive skin, choose models with more cutting actions per minute.
The series 5 and 6 usually come with 24,000 cutting actions per minute while the series 7 models come with up to 30,000 cutting actions. If you want more efficiency, choose from the series 9; for example, the Braun Epilator Silk-épil 9 9-890. These have up to 40,000 cutting actions per minute.
Running time and charge time
A battery-powered device is far better suited for traveling than a normal razor. You can just start shaving without using soap, water, or a brush.
Most of the models in our Braun shaver review have a battery life of 45 minutes and more. With an average shaving time of 5 minutes. This means that a Braun razor is also a good companion when traveling. It’s especially suitable for shorter trips without having to carry the charger or cable. All models can also be used for a single application after a 5-minute charge.
Note: The products of the CoolTec series (the Braun CoolTec CT5cc, for example) consume a lot of electricity when the cooling function is switched on. With continuous use of the cooling, the battery is usually only sufficient for two applications.
Clean and charge station
In our review, we took a close look at some models that are delivered with a separate clean and charge station. A typical example is the Braun Series 9 9370cc. Of course, these sets are more expensive than if you just buy the device yourself. So what’s in it for you?
The cleaning station cleans the razor’s head almost overnight. It is put upside down in the station, a special cleaning fluid then regulates the rest. The device is then dried so that it is ready for the next use. Bacteria are eradicated and the razor is almost clinically clean afterward.
However, some users don’t see this principle as necessary. All Braun models presented can be rinsed under running water. So with a little soap, the razor will be just as clean, if not clinically clean. But many users argue that a razor should not be shared with other people anyway. The cleaning fluid costs extra, and with daily use, it has to be bought relatively often.
The advantages of the cleaning stations at a glance include that the cleaning is done automatically. Cleaning removes most of the bacteria. The disadvantage includes that the cleaning fluid must be bought later and cleaning can take a long time. Also, the cleaning station reflects the total price.
Wet and dry, wet, or disposable shaves?
Wet and dry: For several years, there have been models on the market that allow you to shave both wet and dry. It’s easy with foam and gel, even in the shower. Wet shaving with an electric shaver is no more thorough than with a normal wet shave. And also, it’s no better than with the dry shave – it’s rather even worse. The shave feels better with soap and foam, but each area has to be processed more than once with the razor, which is not so good for the skin.
The classic wet shaver: The wet shave is the classic variant. Every man knows this type of shave. You don’t need any electrical devices for it. You may need a shaving brush to apply the gel, foam, or shaving soap to the skin of your face. The razor itself is then used to run gently over the skin without applying much pressure. Normally, the blades on such a razor are interchangeable and, depending on the model, may be very expensive.
Disposable razors: There are also disposable razors. These consist of a plastic handle and a non-removable blade. However, these are mostly inferior and produced very cheaply. This is not only bad for the environment but also your face. It is not uncommon for skin irritations to occur. Since the blades are not of good quality, the risk of injury is high. This razor makes it into some bathrooms. If you don’t know how to use it correctly, you will often cut yourself with it, a lot of practice is required here.
How long do I have a warranty on my Braun shaver? That depends on the goodwill of your dealer. The statutory limitation period is two years but can be contractually regulated differently. In principle, most dealers are accommodating in the event of a defect within six months, as the burden of proof is reversed for this period. Specifically, this means that in such a case, the retailer must prove that the defect did not exist before the purchase. This is usually a considerable effort that is often avoided by exchanging it.
However, many models come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and are the best to choose. For example, the Braun Series 7 7027cs 360 and many others come with a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Weight and dimensions
The weight and dimension topic with electric shavers is multifaceted. By choosing a model with more than 12 oz, you may have a much more robust shaver with durable materials and are built like a tank. However, the downside is the loss of ease of handling. However, since shaving isn’t supposed to last for more than 5 minutes, it’s something you should be able to put up with. However, smaller and lighter shavers are suitable for travels but may have cheaper materials such as ABS and may not be durable for the long-run.
Some extra features to watch out for in your shaver are the travel pouch, especially if you’re going to need it for on-the-go use or a vacay trip. Other features to watch out for include the facial cap, the skin contact cap, the trimmer cap, beard trimmer attachment.
Tips on how to get the best shave
The first time you shave with a razor, it can take some time. You need to get used to the shaving behavior of the device if you want to get great shaves. This also applies if you have decided on a new model and are already used to dry shaving. Because the differences can sometimes be felt very clearly.
Before you start shaving, make sure that the battery of your device is charged. Nothing is more annoying than when the device gives up in the middle. Especially when you cannot work with the shaver while it is connected to a power cord.
Regularity is a must when choosing a dry shaver. It is more difficult for every razor when the beard is a little longer. So you should stick to a certain routine and shave every day or two. Proper care of the razor is also necessary. The cleaning of the attachments and the device should not be underestimated. Small hair and skin particles can get stuck and affect the performance of the device.
The right care for your shave
It’s not just your skin that needs proper care, your shave needs it too. This is the only way to get the longest possible service life from your device. Also, a device soiled with stubble and skin flakes harbors bacteria that multiply faster in the humid and warm air of a bathroom. These can cause inflammation if they get into open pores or small wounds.
If you properly take care of the shave, you will not only increase its durability and longevity, but you will also prevent unpleasant consequences such as razor burns or injuries. You should clean the shaver after each use, but only after you have pulled the plug!
The cleaning processes vary from shave to shave and from design to design. In any case, read the operating instructions for the device carefully beforehand and follow the instructions. The shaving foil should be removable, under this hide the skin and hair remain. You can remove this from the device with a little tapping. You can then clean the film with water.
You can either use the supplied brush or a shaving brush to further clean the shaver. With the shaves we have reviewed, you can simply clean the shaving head under running water. If you use liquid soap or shampoo, the cleaning effect can be increased.
Like many other brands of shavers, not all Braun shavers are dermatologically approved. However, if you want a dermatologically approved Braun shave, choose from the Series 6 line. These shavers with SensoFlex have dermatologically approved swivel heads that help minimize skin pressure and are suitable on sensitive skin.
After shaving, avoid touching the area. Cool compresses, astringent liquids, natural oils, aloe vera, and/or oatmeal bath can also help prevent possible skin irritation. The Series 6 models with SensoFlex are the best for people with sensitive skin. So, they are the best shaver to use if you have frequent after-shave skin irritation. Also, before shaving, always apply a lube such as a shaving cream or soap. Always shave in the direction in which your hair grows and make short and light strokes.
